Marisa finds a strange mushroom. When she made contact, his body suddenly shrunk. To be able to recover, Marisa had to collect eight golden mushrooms as an antidote. Released in November 2018, MarisaLand Legacy serves as a remake of Super Marisa Land (2005). Regarding the gameplay there is no change, Maria will grow taller when collecting certain mushrooms. When she's tall enough, Marisa can shoot fireballs or be invulnerable for a certain amount of time. But if she touches enemy or hazardous obstacle Marisa will shrink. If she is already small and hurt then the player loses one life and starts over from the beginning. If the player runs out of lives the game ends.
Throughout the game Marisa can discover secret locations that hide five blue stars or collect 100 regular stars for one life as reward. MarisaLand Legacy features 8 worlds with four stages each. If the player manages to complete all of them will unlock harder difficulty. Aside of imrpoved graphics, MarisaLand Legacy also supports multiplayer and 20 different achievements which is availabled only for the English version.
